Hi Joann and welcome to the group. I am glad you posted.

I haven't heard anything from Betty, Ronda's friend so I imagine there is no

change. I just sent Betty an email earlier this morning and will keep

everyone updated as I hear.

I had CMF in 1990 for my breast cancer. I had it for 6 mo. I had a modified

radical mastectomy May 24th 1990 with one bad node and no reconstruction.

Have you told the oncologist how weak you are? You should let him know. Most

people loose their appetites on chemo but I was just the opposite. I gained

30lbs as all I could eat were dairy products and of all things spaghetti and

pizza!

Also please mention your depression to either your oncologist or family

doctor. There are a lot of us taking antidepressants etc and they do help.

Don't worry about spell check. We do not judge a person on how they spell.

That is the least of our worries. I will keep you in my prayers.

Hugs

marianne

Welcome Joann, everyone is effected differently by chemo. I lost my

appetite, as I couldnt taste anything. I also gained quite a bit of weight

which I didnt need. Of all the weird thing I could drink tomato juice, and

boy did I drink it. I became tired during my chemo. Ask the Dr if this is

normal, for you to be so week. Gentle Hugs

Joann, first things first...we don't check spelling here because

sometimes even those of us who are good spellers make mistakes (well,

really our computers make them !!!) so don't worry about that. I did

not have chemo so I can't answer your question. However, my mother

had chemo and I remember that her appetite went up and down a lot. I

think the chemo affects your taste buds.

nne and I have not heard from Ronda either...we were talking on

the phone about her just this morning and saying that we are

continuing the prayers. I am sure Betty will let us know something as

soon as she can.

Hang in there...and come in more often. Doris
