Guest guest
Hi all, I just received a report from Medscape and every once in a while they send out something called Adverse drug reports (ADR) and a new one today was on Wellbutrin which is Bupropion also known as Zyban. So just in case....... be sure not to take or add any pseudoephedrines while taking it. I also knew someone personally who had severe heart arythmia while on Zyban. When this report comes out it means an event is serious (FDA MedWatch definition) when the patient outcome is death, life-threatening, hospitalisation, disability, congenital anomaly, or requires intervention to prevent permanent impairment or damage. Dee~ Amfebutamone (bupropion): interaction with concomitant pseudoephedrine leading to myocardial ischaemia (serious) Pederson KJ, Kuntz DH, Garbe GJ. Acute myocardial ischemia associated with ingestion of bupropion and pseudoephedrine in a 21-year old man.
