Guest guest
Hi: I'm a mother of a six year old little girl who just started the diet. We started on 12/10 and before the diet she was on Zonegran, Lamictal-Chewable Kepra. First night in hospital was awful, but then she started to fly! Dr. dropped her Zonegran under the thinking it was the right thing. All hell has broken loose, she was toxic on something. To regain control, we upped Zonegran, and dropped the Lamictal -fast. Hell continued for six days, threw Christmass, in that she was having drops/twitches/jerks, zoning in and out. Ended up giving her Atavan yesterday to stop things, and had a peacefull night, as far as we know. Today, life is better. She is still whiney (not normal behavior for her), and has only had a couple of twitches. She may have been toxic on Lamictal. The other thing we changed back was that in the hospital, the Dr's, put her on a nonchewable Lamictal. Under the theory that it can't get much worse, and with their permission we switched back to chewable. Anyway, we're out here in PA, flying and trying. Dr. wanted to drop the diet by Monday if nothing happened. Our feeling was give it three months. We'll see how tonight goes. You can reach me at LTS4307@...
