I had a lumpectomy and lymphnode dissection in Dec. I didn't have any pain from the lumpectomy but the lymphnode incision under my arm was pretty painful for about 3 weeks. I also had a "pins and needles" sensation under that arm and along the back of the shoulder for the same time period. It has subsided not for the most part.

It's a good thing to ask your surgeon. Good luck.

This is the first time I have a posted anything here, I have been

reading the posts for a long time. I had a lumpectomy with the

removal of two lymph nodes a week ago today. I am still so sore, and

I don't really know if that is normal or not. I have had a lot of

surgeries in the past, but none of them having to do with bc. I am

going to see the surgeon today to have sutures removed, so of course,

I will make a point of asking him, but I just wanted to know if

anyone could assist me this morning. I have seen from the posts, that

everyone is extremely caring and nurturing, and I am glad to have the

honor to be a part of that. You all have a wonderful day!

Hi!

Welcome to the group. I had a mastectomy and 23 lymph nodes removed and

didn't have any pain with the surgery at all. But everyone is different and

they are two totally different procedures. I am sure someone that has has a

lumpectomy will reply. I will keep you in my prayers.

Hugs
