Guest guest Posted January 2, 2002 Report Share Posted January 2, 2002 Hi Lynn I was told by a naturopath that in the good old days doctors used to always prescribe antifungals along with antibiotics because the antibiotics kill off the good flora and fauna that prevent harmful bacteria and such to grow. Antifungals staved off complications until the good creatures grew back. Perhaps the Cipro killed off the beneficial creatures, and therefore caused your flare up. Antifungals such as pau d'arco and garlic have been recommended to me for such a use, as well as acidophilus. Probably the first thing would be to gt tested for a yeast or bacteria growh itself...
