Guest guest
My third son also has complex partial seizures (from 24 hours) and after trying many drugs, including all of the ones you listed he started the kgd May 2001. When he started the diet he was on sabril, clobazam and tegretol all at maximum amounts. He is now only on a tiny amount of tegretol which we are weaning ever so slowly. We now have a happy energetic boy who is not sleeping his life away and very, very few seizures, has other problems also and is developmentally delayed but the kgd has been a gift from God! I can't help with the reflux issues except to support the other parent who said it may just disappear or it may be related to a food allergy which the diet will eliminate. I know that definitely has food intolerances and he used to be treated for reflux but now doesn't have those screaming episodes and I put it down to the diet and generally being so much better. I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck with your research, and we are all here with ideas and advice and a wealth of experience if required. ine
