Dear Ladies,

Neurontin like Depakote and Lamictal are antiseizure meds effective in stabilizing abnormal activity of the temporal lobe of the brain responsible for memory and temper.

Smart pill from www.novus-optimum.com (recommended by connie dello buono) are brain food from natural food sources that feeds the temp lobe of the brain.

Here are some other activities to feed the temp lobe (from the book Change your brain, change your life by Amen, MD):

1. create a library of wonderful experience.note: here I should add that we should not be in an unhappy/unhealthy relationship.2. sing whenever/wherever you can.3. use humming and toning to tune up the brain.4. listen to classical music.5. learn to play musical instrument.6. move in rhythms.7. get enough sleep.8. consider brain food/meds: fish/omega, high-protein-low-simple-carbo for obsession and equal complex carbo-protein for depression.

9. get enough sleep: also feeds the pituitary gland and helps in balancing our hormones.10. eliminate toxins/preservatives/caffeine/nicotine and others...11. try mind-body and bio-feedback...

Blessings to all,

Can your pharmacy (or one near you) compound it without the alcohols

(including propolyne glycol)???? The alcohols burn the raw skin.

You would have much less systemic absorption with the cream and maybe

you can use it while pregnant (check with your doctor).

Lona,

I am on it and has worked wonders for me. I felt a big difference in about 2

weeks. I do have flare ups, but usually because something has aggravated the

area, like soap. I also found that washing ( put on like a conditioner) with

vidial sasson conditioner instead of soap, has helped my skin get healthy and

I smell clean longer then if I would have used soap. I found that for some

reason, it doesn't irritate, it actually feels good.

I am happy with my results taking Neurontin, good luck, hope it works a good

for you too.

I am on 900 mg. I take 300 mg 3 times a day. It could also be a combination

that I also get internal PT with a PT who specializes in pelvic floor

dysfunction.

I also have a biofeedback unit I use at home.

It doesn't make me sleepy at all, it first felt to me like I was on a pain

medication that numbed, but you can still feel. I could feel alot less pain

even from my everyday aches and pains. It was more noticible in my lips

first, it would have a slight feeling of being numb, but really wasn't. The

minite you move your lips, if felt normal. That went away about 3 weeks

after starting meds.

How many milligrams worked for you? I'm up to 3,600

and it's doing nothing, and my doctor wants me to keep

going up. She says that some women react this way to

it, and all of a sudden a certain dosage works.

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Just to let everyone know I have a friend in North Carolina who

used Neurontin, was cured. She was on 1600 mg./day. After using it

for 4 months, she was 100% again. 1 year later, she quit using

Neurontin and has not needed it again. Unfortunately, it did not work

for me at all. I was at 1800 mg. - I tried it for 2 months, felt

nothing at all so I just stopped!

Neurontin (generic name gabapentin) is an

anti-convulsant. It was originally designed to treat

epilepsy, and I believe it is still used for that

purpose, as well as for neuropathic pain. For more

info, go to:

www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/gabapent_wcp.htm

Be sure to check out some of the other clicks on the

bar that runs across the top of the page.
