Well I have off tonight and have been catching up on my mail and lo and

behold you will never guess on who's street the hot call of the night

was....... I didn't call -- figured I'm on vacation so to speak (4 days

off!!!!!) But someone did.......took all of 5 minutes to clear out the nasty

party!

It all depends on the jurisdiction that you work for. In Chicago, on a VERY

busy night, we will take in between 1,000 and 1,500 calls in a HALF HOUR

period. During this same busy time, there are often hundreds of calls

waiting to be given out to the squad cars...but there aren't any of them

available, because they already have 5-10 jobs each.
