Glad to hear the good news, sorry to hear the not so good news.

Jess is still on the diet, as you likely surmised

After almost 2 years of no seizures, we lost control when we attempted

to treat kidney stones. Been a rocky ride since then, but now another 2

years later we seem to have control back (no seizures since Feb, knock

on wood!!) after adding a little diamox (a diuretic) to help her maintain

the acidity which seems to be key to seizure control for her but which

her body learned to fight. Overall she is doing well, getting very independant

(or at least asserting her right to try to be LOL) and rather strong-willed,

I just try to tell myself those are qualities which will serve her well

later in life LOL She is learning at her own pace and in her own

way and getting rid of the AEDs sure seemed to help in that regard.

wean a couple of times now, unsuccessfully. He's on four

seizure meds and

still seizing on an hourly basis, we're about three weeks into

Lamictal. His mood and tone have changed quite a bit in the

last year and a

half, such an attitude these days. Developmentally he has

made some great

progress(for him), he's rolling sides to back and sides to stomach,

and hearing are better than ever, he is activating switches with

and health wise, he usually manages to stay out of the hospital

at a time, but when he does get sick he really does it good.

He is a big

brother now, we had a little boy last summer, Noah is 15 months

and he is

awesome. It's so great to see the familiar names from so

long ago. How

about an update on Jess??
