I buy psyllium at the " natural " food store (Whole Foods).

It comes in 2 forms and I buy the powder. I slowly

increased to 1 tsp/day for Ally (she is 35 lbs). It is a

natural fiber. She had no side effects-except more BMs!

We had been waiting for well over a month for the " right "

colace from the pharmacy.

Don't forget that adding magnesium is even a more

" natural " way to help combat constipation. I have also

heard a lot on this list about constipation causing

increased seizures.

Mike is on magnesium. If I increase it he gets stomach cramps and

complains of a tummy ache. I will try the colace as a short term

remedy and hope that he can start having BM's on his own after we "help"

him for a bit.

Thanks for the info! I love this group! I have learned more in

the few weeks that I have been with this group than I have from the docs

in the last 7 months!
