Guest guest
I had a bad case of a burning white coated tongue..after a round of steroid nasal spray, I couldtn even open my mouth! I asked the doc for nystatin powder..raw form..no added sugar..mixed it with water 2 times a day as directed and it went away! Now I get burning when I eat certain foods. susan

Guest guest
, That is really interesting. Do you think that the yeast infection in your mouth could have caused your tongue to become more sensitive to perhaps yeast foods and that causes the burning. I think that is exactly what happened to my vulvar skin. The vulvar skin became more sensitive to yeast because of all the infections. Do you know what foods make you tongue burn? I find this interesting because I use nasal steroid spray yearround for chronic stuffy nose. I don't have the " patches " so when I saw the MD last week he said it wasn't yeast and that yeast is uncommon in adults. I do have a whitish coating on my tongue but nothing you can scrap off. I am now running a low grade fever (99.4) as well. All of this happened after the cipro and starting the birth control pills last month. Add the nasal spray and I think I have a great YEAST COCKTAIL! LOL Now---will my doctor agree??? I doubt it. He did a viral culture on the two small reddish areas on my tongue. Which foods cause the burn? I haven't noticed anything in particular that gets it going. It burns when I go to bed but isn't when I get up (or at least it isn't bad enough to really notice) but by mid morning it is picking up. I think from talking.....my tongue is hitting my teeth. When I eat it feels better. Lynn
