Guest guest
Hi and welcome. When I had my surgery I attached to slip and also underpants elastic. I was working at the time and it worked quite well. I know there is something you can buy over the internet that helps with holding it in place but I don't know what the site is. Maybe one of the other ladies might know. You are in my prayers. Guest guest
Those bags are a real pain in the....., aren't they? I happened to have one of the things you put your arm in when it is broken, sprained, etc. and I used it to put my bag in. It worked very well. I also put a soft belt on and pinned the bag to that. The nurse had told me to pin it to my panties but believe me, everytime I had to go to the bathroom, that was not a good solution...unpin, sit down, pin, stand up. Why would anyone think a breast drain bag would do well pinned to panties?????????? > I had left modified radical mastectomy yesterday, with lymph node > disection. Guest guest
I had the drains on both sides for about 16 days. My solution was to buy HUGE flannel men's shirts [form-fitting clothes are out of the question] and use BIG safety pins to fasten the drains inside the flannel shirt. I was able to hang them any place in the shirt that was comfortable, and they didn't interfere with any of my activities, nor did they show since the shirt was so baggy. I did get 2 shirts, since wearing the drains that way was so practical that I needed to sleep with that shirt as well. Hope that helps!
