Guest guest
Hi all, I would like to thank everyone for the ideas for my sons bparty. I turned out to be a flop. I invited 12 boys and order enough pizza to feed them all. I had 6 24 slice pizza delivered at 5:15. They came but only 2 kids were here. Then I had planed to take them mini-putting at this place that has glow in the dark putting. It is really cool. But the was canceled cause I was waiting for the other kids to come. To make matters worse this was a surprise party so it did not work. The only thing that went right that whole night was his teacher showed up for the joke gift at the time she was to show. I wish the party was going the way I planed cause I had the cam-corder set up to tape his face from seeing the teacher here with pillow in hand. It was priceless. So no other kids showed up and I was so hurt for , but he seemed to like it. They just watched The Fast and The Furious and ate snacks all night. All in all I hope and think he had fun. The next day he won a silver medal for coming in second in his ball hockey league, got one to. Both were on the same team. Lori

Guest guest
Lori - it sounds like enjoyed himself, despite the low turnout. I'm sorry things didn't go as you planned. ( I feel so bad for you but am relieved that it hurt your feelings more than it did 's. If I were nearby, I would have gladly DROPPED my kids OFF! ;o) Grace B-party > Hi all, I would like to thank everyone for the ideas for my sons bparty. I turned out to be a flop. Guest guest
Hey Lori. I'm glad they boys had fun.....even if only two showed up. I really am a believer in RSVPing. I think it is very rude to not call and let people know if we will be coming or not for just this reason. Its hard to plan food and activities if you don't know for sure how many to plan for. I wish everyone felt that way. But at least the kids enjoyed it. The medals must have made a great follow up day too! Good to hear from you... I will tell him for you. Lori Re: B-party Lori, The fact that he seemed to have a good time would make it a success. Try not to let it hurt you that the other kids didn't show. Guest guest
Salli I phoned each parent myself. I told them what I was going to do and that it was a sleep over. Out of 12 parents only 1 said that their son could not come. So the day before I re-phoned all the parents and confirmed and they all said that they would be coming. Guest guest
Grace I think that would have been something. First of all GIRLS at my party really mom I don't think so, (see mom is not to know I like girls) and 2 they are younger then and that would have been a problem, way to much noise for him while watching TV. But I would of loved to have them. Lori B-party > Hi all, I would like to thank everyone for the ideas for my sons bparty. I turned out to be a flop. Guest guest
He just wants me to think that girls still have cooties. I know different from his friends at school. He has a good bunch of friends they tell me a lot of things about things other then . I am an easy mom to talk to they say and down to earth about things. So I guess I am cool to his friends. Maybe that is why his friends parents are A_Holes Lori B-party > > > > Hi all, I would like to thank everyone for the ideas for my sons bparty. I > turned out to be a flop. I also called the day before the party and confirmed with each parent. > They were all just plain rude about it for not sending their kids when they said they >> OK now I'm PISSED OFF! What assholes. Too bad you can't send them all a bill for their portion of the pizza and other costs that were wasted by their no-show kids. Or at least a phone call back letting them know exactly how rude they were. Or even better, an " innocent " call to ask about their children's state of health? Oh, you mean your son wasn't sick? I just assumed he was, because you had CONFIRMED he'd be at our party and we made food arrangements and all . . . " OK, I know, I know, this type of retaliation just makes things worse in the long run. But wouldn't it be sweet? Guest guest
Sue that would be a funny if it ever happen to one of them. That could never happen to one of them. See I am one that the parents don't like because I don't have a husband at home any more. I have proved to them that I can look after three kids and still have parties. They don't know how much it broke me to do this but I still had one. They just don't like me to much. I would love to go onto to it more but is in so much pain with his head right know he has been crying for the last half hour. I think it looks like a hospital visit tonight for me and 2 other kids. Guest guest
Lori I'm so sorry... I can remember having a party or two like that (myself). Guest guest
That's so awful... you did an amazing job bringing the party out as a success, you deserve a medal too ) Good to hear he still had fun. I think I'd have great trouble in your shoes not letting those rude parents have it. Guest guest
Lori, Well that was just down right rude for those parents to tell you that their child was coming and then not to show up! RSVP means nothing anymore, but when you take the time to pick up the phone to call them and the people tell you yes!!!! That just leaves me speechless.
