Well, then let's shoot for next, next weekend!!!

:o)

Or you could drive out here for the support group meeting at Starbucks, and

meet too? Yes??? Or is that impossible. It would be on March 6th, 6

PM, I believe?

C'mon, Jeff can watch them one night!

Grace :o)

Prozac always affects my sleep cycle #1.

It causes deeper, sounder sleep with more " real " dreams.

It causes less need for sleep. My normal sleep cycle is about 6 hours and

then I wake up feeling sick to my stomach. (a tiny bit of something, like

crackers and water does the trick to settle my stomach but if I don't eat

anything I sometimes throw up by 9am)

:-)

I'm so glad it's working for you already Grace! It sounds like you are

responding very much like I do/did to it. I've been on in it for13 or so

years.

I kinda did, but on that day when we were offlist.

In short, I went, the shrink was absolutely wretched, told me " You should

take Prozac " , practically refused to go into more detail, I took the

prescription along with her knowledgeable " autistic children these days can

learn 'survival skills' and live independently, sometimes in group homes "

advice, kept my mouth shut, and took the prescription to the pharmacy.

She said that I must make a followup appt, so at the front desk, I

Not good.

Did she reschedule?

I mean... well, pink eye is not so bad LOL. You could have told her you

don't mind LOL!!!

Just kidding. I hope you get to go soon, . I know you were looking

forward to this, in that dreadful kind of way.

Jacquie - really?

Well, the psychiatrist said 4-6 weeks, and I feel rather silly for feeling

differently. I'm thinking perhaps it's a placebo effect ~ but I don't think

so. Shaun looked at me earlier today and commented that I have my " glow "

back. He still has no idea I am taking medication. I looked in the mirror

tonight, and you know what - - - he's right.

I look..... alive.

But it's now only day 3, going on 4. I don't know what to think anymore! I

feel pretty good. Alert. Able. I'm not giddy, but I feel like my head's

been screwed on straighter and tighter... like I can actually think.

This is good, yes?

Have I told you lately, Salli, that I love you?

You're a crazy woman with delusional tendencies, but I do love you love you

love you LOL.

Another strange thing, and this one is not so good.

Why is it that I have constantly been in need of a nap lately - despite the

four cups of coffee I have already had by this time of morning?

<yawn!>

Perhaps they do - but not the ones that don't talk and won't use

utensils like civilized human beings.

As for your being gray - - Salli does not gray.

And Ferrari? What Ferrari? LOLOL!! How quickly we forget, huh?

Yes, yes... ferrari.

Initial side effect. Very common to any antidepressant, and clears up within

2-4 weeks, usually!

I certainly do agree that age 18 those would be awfully preventative (although

not COMPLETELY preventative, as there is always facilitated communication and

packing sandwiches as lunch), but I am certainly shooting for college with ,

and he has a severe allergy to any sort of flatware! If he can't eat it with

his fingers, he won't eat it at all.

And may I remind you -- not a word from horrible awful until 3 1/2, and no

*talking* until 4 1/2, and no SENTENCES until about 8 months ago!

money in the world.

Buying people ferraris and mansions is all within the realm of possibility

realise you need a good nap! ;)

I don't mind the early bedtime so much, it makes me feel " normal " .

But do you STILL have the need to nap?

I do not like naps. I like to sleep. Napping is not sleeping, it's just

passing out momentarily - and that is not good enough unless I'm about to

die without it.

Tell me this passes!

OK... but we are cuttin' it close.

Madison did say " wawa " for water today. Sydney did learn two new signs

today.

But still...... while it IS a huge step up, it ain't " talking " . :o(

Grace, I certainly hope you are celebrating those things when they happen, in

your own mind, as they SHOULD be celebrated! Otherwise, you're cheating

yourself out of a lot of joy by saying, " yes...but " .

None of our kids woke up one morning and just started speaking clearly and with

meaning. I wish. Every single one tread a long, difficult path, and each step

was a milestone!

" wawa " is not " talking " the way you're thinking of talking, that's true. But

it's a WORD! A NEW word she learned to use to identify something she knows!

That's HUGE! And TWO signs??? HUGE!

These are joyous signs of learning and progress, babe, not sad reminders of what

'should have been'!!!

Embrace the day, Grace. Each one holds so many things to celebrate.

(((hugs)))
