Guest guest
Dang that is a long process then! I turned in my application, then got called in for a pre-interview two weeks later. During my pre-interview I signed a waiver saying I understand the job is shift work including holidays and got told a realistic job overview. I also handed in my references at this time. Two days later I took my typing test. Two days after that I had my oral interview and was offered a conditional offer of employment. The following week I had my drug test and polygraph which I also passed. Now I am just waiting for a packet in the mail from the training department so I will know when and where to show up when training begins September 2nd. I just had my polygraph last Wednesday so I am trying not to be impatient about getting the package they are sending. If its not hear by Friday I will call and inquire. I am so excited I cant wait to just get started already. Roxann

Roxann ~~~~~~~~~~ I took my polygraph about 3 weeks ago. Passed it with flying colors. They also fingerprinted me and took my mug shots. They've had my references for at least 6 weeks now, so why couldn't they have sent those letters out before now? Are they so slow because only the most determined to have this job will stay around through the process? My girls are very young yet (8 1/2) and they asked at the dinner table when I'd start. I jokingly said, " Oh, about the time you get married, at this rate. And MINE was a quick one! Three years ago I was in background for two jobs and it took 6 months for the whole process!

Guest guest
I am not sure how thorough the background they did was. Kinda scary. I filled out the background packet during my pre-interview. Which had the standard million and one questions about your life down to what brand toilet paper you prefer. It did not however include your last 10 years home addresses like most do? I don't know when they did a background. I assume some time between the interview and my acceptance letter. Since I had already filled out all of the info for it at the pre-interview it was never brought to my attention. They did send letters to my four references, but who would give a name of someone who would give them a bad reference? Guest guest
Roxanne Well how was day #1 and 3? > <<< They did send letters to my four references, but who would give a name > of someone who would give them a bad reference?>>> > You'd be surprised -- someone at my center was applying else where and used a former roommate who doesn't really much like her as a reference.
