Rose, I hear you!! And feel your frustration!! I was only concerned that you were getting the same blow off I always get, It seems the first answer doctors have when they don't know any thing else is Elavil. I think the last time someone tried to give me that she told me I must have had a tramatic experience, even though she could clearly see my swelling and redness!!! YEP this is my tramatic experience. I couldn't count hte times I have cried and felt like giving up!! The last after taking a trip to California we couldn't afford and coming back with more questions than answers. I almost didn't marry my husband because of this didn't think it was fair to him, fortunatley he has vowed to find a fix with me!!

I have been using estrace for about a month too, with alittle relief, I am going to stick it out see if it will work!! Do you have low estrogen?? How did your pain start?? suddenly or gradually??

Hi Daphne-

I'm also using Estrogen creme Premarin because Estrace creme is not

available in

Canada, at least that is what my doctor told me. I've been on it for

approx. one month

and haven't noticed any change yet. I take Tylenol 2 for pain, which

doesn't provide

too much relief.

I'm not trying to cover up my symptoms, I just want some relief from this

pain which

is 24/7 and is ruining practically every aspect of my life. I'm even

having to return to

work half-time because of it. I need answers too, but unfortunately, not

one single

person has been able to give them to me. In the near future, I'll be going

to a OB/GYN

who specializes in vulvar conditions in Toronto, and hopefully, he will

have some answers

or at least one. I am 45 years old and have never had any serious medical

problems

until now. I hope there is a cure one day, but all I can do in the

meantime is try everything

under the sun to help relieve the symptoms. I'm tired of being depressed,

and crying

everyday. I want my life back.
