Hi Rose,

I just wanted to send encouragement your way and to everyone else struggling

with 24/7 burning and taking elavil for it. Elavil was and remains the key

for me in reducing my excruciating 24/7 burning and then eliminating it. My

pain is (knock, knock on wood ; ) completely under control at 50 mgs., no

other pain relievers necessary. The side effects have lessened or gone away

altogether.

I know some people cannot tolerate elavil at all...and I myself was skeptical

it would work for me...but because I was in such agony and had pretty much no

where to go...I toughed it out at the higher dosages for about a month to 6

weeks. The sideeffects (drowsy, thirsty, craving sweets) can be

discouraging. Hang in there. I was also given pain meds to help until the

elavil started to work. The combination worked. I then had blessed relief

from 24/7 burning I had suffered for about 2 years.

Since that time I have been pretty much pain free, able to completely

discontinue the pain meds and maintain total control of the burning on 50

mgs. of elavil.

Anyhow. I hope this is the key for you, too and that you get relief soon.

God bless,

Anne
