Guest guest
Hi Good to hear from you. Any news on an appointment for biofeedback? I think the reason my CV flared up again was sex. I didn't even have a boyfriend during the first 2months of treatment (and for several months before that)so there was nothing to make it reccur. I had sex 2 days before the flare. I've had this problem since my first sexual experience so it seems that sex causes CV in me. Since the beginning of the flare (4 months) I have been doing baking soda douches 3 or 4 times a week, aveeno soaks every other day and steroid cream. The lactobacilli is not reducing in number at all (and there is not a single other organism about)which is why Dr thinks we need to give it a boost with some antibiotics. As i'm back in the uk I need my GP to do an NHS prescription for the antibiotics (can't afford the US prescriptions on top of visiting costs!) and so thought i'd get some advice from the group before I see him on Friday. I then need to get my GP to do a weekly thrush test and stop the antibiotics as soon as there is any sign. Then it's one diflucan and another test before going back out to the US for a check on lactobacilli levels. I'm really nervous about trusting the NHS tests (I know you can sympathise having lived here!)but we'll have to wait and see. I just hope they catch the few thrush before it becomes a raging attack. Thanks for the names of those papers. I'll get a Dr friend to get hold of them for me. Wishing you well and hoping you are getting on ok. E-mail me privately to let me know how about work etc. love . > Hi , > > I haven't really anything to add on how to get thrush, but I do have to > say that it sounds like a pretty drastic solution to me.
