Guest guest
Hi Suzy, You are so sweet to be thinking of me when you also suffer from this dreaded problem. I hope you and your hubby had a wonderful Christmas. Yes I do have Vulvar Vestibulitis with the LS also my biopsy results showed a severe case of estrogen lose vaginally even though my blood work shows that my hormones are in the normal range. I guess I am just one big mess!!!! I showed my doctor the aricle also and he plans on not using the steriod in the injection. He is soooo sweet because every time I see him I have tons of more literature to share with him and he actually spends the time to read all of it and discuss things we could try. He is very opened minded. I have been becoming discouraged since I still feel the same since being on the steriod cream, I have been using the estrace and estring faithfully since August. I went back on an antidepressant a couple of weeks ago to help cope with the constant pain. My hopes are that the injection will break the pain cycle. Guest guest
Hi, Pam. I am so glad you have a caring doctor! That's so important. I will keep my fingers crossed that you get some pain relief with the injections. The estrogen loss in your vagina must be upsetting, since you seem like you are doing everything possible to correct that problem. Has either doctor suggested using the Estrace in your vagina, as opposed to topically? I know the Estring delivers a pretty low dose of estrogen; maybe you need a " booster " . I will keep you in my thoughts, Pam, and hope that better days are ahead for you - SOON!!!! Guest guest
Suzy, I have tried estrace vaginally in the past and it seemed to irratate the vulva tissue more. I do wish that I could use that instead of the estring since my insurance will not cover the estring. How are you feeling? Are you still having some good days? Well, think I am going to go sit on some ice, I did some mega shopping this morning at the Mall of America and my burning seems more intense. Oh well, at least I had fun hitting the good sales! Have a Great New Year. Hugs, Pam
