Guest guest
Hi everybody, > I was just wondering - does your doctor think the > results will be permanent? > I know that sometimes when the pain messages get > turned off, the nerves figure out what's up, and > they > *stay* calm, so I was wondering what your doc's > experience with other patients has been. I think I'm actually my doctor's only vestibulitis/vulvodynia patient. He doesn't have a lot of experience treating vulvar pain; he was just willing to try the treatment to help me. According to the article, though, at least a few women had results that lasted two years. > Also, the protocol is for vulvar > vestibulitis - do you have that, too? My doctor and > I didn't discuss it as a possibility for me, as right > now, it's the DV that's hanging on. The VVS is > pretty > much under control for me. I want to say here that it was actually DV-like symptoms (chronic burning) that prompted me to ask my doctor about the injections. The burning was driving me crazy, and I thought the injections would help, which they did. As an added bonus, they also helped (possibly cured??) my vestibulitis. One note: If any of you decide to try the injections, make sure your doc massages the injection sites afterwards. I still have deposits of medicine in my vulva--they are small white bumps which are going away very slowly. Take care, __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Hi , I am not sure how long the injections last if do give you relief. I going to give my steroid cream another couple of weeks before trying the injections. I have had the constant burning for over two years now and I know what you mean about going crazy from it. I can hardly concentrate on daily tasks let alone trying to concentrate at work. How long did you have relief from the burning after your injection? Also what is DV? Thanks. Hugs, Pam
