Guest guest
Hi Tania, I wanted to let you know that my three year old daughter just started taking Shaklee products. She's been on the diet since 3/12/01 and is scheduled for temporal lobe surgery on 11/12 and 11/21. We really wanted to boost her immune system prior to the surgeries and knowing that we are limited in the vitamins we could give her, I researched several and ended up with Shaklee. We give her the Vita-Lea multi-vitamin for adults (1/2 tablet in the morning and 1/2 tablet at night) along with the Formula 1 (2-3 drops in the morning and 2-3 drops at night). The Vita-Lea for Toddlers has fructose but the adult vitamin does not. We worked with a nutritionist/microbiologist at Texas A & M University's College of Medicine to ensure that the adult Vita-Lea and the Formula 1 would not be overdosing her on any one vitamin or mineral. Given her body weight, we were able to determine that the amounts I listed above would work for her. I then went to our dietician who didn't have a problem with it. Our neuro was a little skeptical switching vitamins prior to the surgeries, but did not tell us not to. Since starting Shaklee, I haven't really noticed a difference one way or the other since my daughter has had a cold for the last week. However, I know that she is getting very high quality vitamins and I'm glad we've made the change. Did you ever decide to change to Shaklee? Good luck to you!
