Guest guest
> Alison, You are lucky to be put to sleep. My urologist said it was a minor procedure and all he did was numb the opening to the urthrea. That was not the part that needed numbing. It was the whole urthrea. It was not a pleasant experience, and I will never have another one. Jerri Jerri, Did they find anything? I was told that a cystoscopy could be done in the doctors office with numbing (they numbed my WHOLE urethra though up into the bladder) and that cystoscopy with distention is done under general anesthesia because they fill your bladder to FULL capacity with water or air and see how much you can hold. Something you can't do awake. I guess we have NEVER been to full capacity because our body takes over and makes the urge to strong to void. Mine was just a cystoscopy and nothing showed up. Guest guest
Lynn, The only time I was filled to distention was when they were trying to find out why I cannot urinate on my own. I have to catherize myself to go. In the cystoscopy they did they just found that I had nerve damage. Jerri Re: IC-tests-your experience??/Jerri > > > Alison, You are lucky to be put to sleep.
