Guest guest
Way to go Doris!! Hugs nne Breast Cancer Patients Soul Mates for Lifehttp://www.geocities.com/chucky5741/breastcancerpatients.html Check out my breast cancer ornaments at:http://www.geocities.com/chucky5741/bcornament.htmlalso check out my other ornaments and lots of nice gifts at:http://www.cancerclub.com We did it! The house was all spiffed up, the kids and grandkids and son-in-law and dtr-in-law were here and we all looked so fine...I had on my pink survivor shirt, Mickey and le and Miche had on their red committee shirts, Molly and Shelby had on their small race shirts and the rest had on their lime green volunteer shirts. Gumbo was ready and t.v. cameraman was late! When he called, he had gotten lost and was right in front of my house and couldn't find us!!! Anyway, he came in and set up. First to be interviewed...me! He asked me many, many questions...when he asked why my family was so supportive and helping so with the race...I said, I think it must be because they love me. Then Mickey, he is always great in an interview and did great. He talked about the things I forgot to mention. Then le...she is so beautiful...and she mentioned that she not only is doing it for me but for herself and her dtrs. ...said there needs to be a cure before her dtrs. get old enough to get b.c. Then grandson ...he reminded the man that men too can get breast cancer...good point and none of us had thought to say that. He then told the man he has volunteered at races in the past but this is the first time he got a volunteer shirt...He will probably wear it to school every day for a month! Then we went outside and the man took pictures of us loading the Race for the Cure® signs into the back of the truck...then off we went..Son Miche put the first sign out...by my mailbox. Then we went to a local quick stop/gas station and Miche helped Shelby put one out. Then to Iberia bank...Debi (dIL ) and Molly put one out. Then to Sonic and put one out. Then off to a strip mall and the man had all of us get out of our vehicles and watch while one (can't remember who) put out a sign. Then he left to go to a meeting...we came home and ate the yummy gumbo and talked about our adventure.dorisP. S. the main topic of our interviews was that our family fights like any other but we pull together when there is a reason...because that is the way we are...and we all have love for each other...AND they all love me.
