All the best non-addictive medicines come from plants, too. Cannabis,

kava, and poppy tea will not make you a junkie, neither will the majority

of the herbal pharmacopia.

In the Yeast Connection, he talks about how yeasts in the gut crave

sugar, and also crave alcohol. A double whammy for alcoholics.

I wasn't raised with too much sugar (yea for whole grains baking mom!),

but still occaisionally have chocolate cravings when I'm low on magnesium

(which I indulge). FWIW, a round or two of Candex enzymes got rid of all

my carbohydrate cravings. It's been 2 years since I last took them.
