Guest guest
Hi again Lynn, Just caught your 2nd message, when will I learn to scan all my posts first, instead of one by one, *chuckle* Anyway, 'I' would put a dab of Estrace AND Testosterone creame on my finger and insert it in the anal area a bit, (same as at the opening of the vagina, clean finger tho haha..) Also the first inch or so of the rectum is like the normal skin at the opening. And don't worry about asking, Heck, if we can spread open for so many doctors, by now nothing is embarassing and it's the only way to honestly ask or answer some questions that we really want and 'need' to know. In my opinion Lynn, I still think the Estrace cream is the most beneficial for rebuilding the tissue, and some might not even need the Testosterone, and even me, I didn't add it till my 4th month of only using the Estrace but it definitely did add to my healing I think. But I do know both are good wound healers and good for the skin especially the T to toughen things up a bit. (so it's not just for LS people in 'my' mind) Had I known about that sooner I probably would have use both earlier, but I was still doing lots of researching at that time (I was still a greenhorn haha) and didn't know it. Sure do now! <grin> years later. As far as the blood levels for Testosterone , it's good to know because so many symptoms can be had because of a low level and yours does seem to be low as well as some of your symtoms seem to correlate. I think I'd almost get another test Lynn from somewhere else, another lab used, plus I'd definitely want my 'free' unbound levels as those are most important (usually 1-3% of the total) . Those figures you gave out were certainly confusing to me. Using it orally would be great for your whole body if you need it, but I myself still think the 'cream' applied directly, though much less in ratio to the Estrace (or Estradiol) can really help the tissue directly the best. But believe me I wouldn't be with either one (oral or cream) but I am older, but again from what you said about being menopausal it sure makes sense that you'd need it as well. Just wish you were some place where you had more choices of physicians to see. Hey, come to think of it, why not just go to a reg MD and just have them draw blood for a hormone profile and ask that they use a different lab than the other one? Just a thought anyway. My reg. MD will do that as well as my gyne. As to ratios in case..... I used them 3 to 1, 3 x's usage of Estrace cream to 1 X usage of T cream. So you can see not much T is needed, especially the small amts. we use. (maybe twice a week) My opinion anyway.
