I had a port in my chest ( a surgical procedure) and it did not affect

the start of chemo...in fact, the 1st port installed about a week before

chemo didn't work properly so I had to have it redone about 3 hours

before my first chemo. Hugs,

---I am glad to hear that having a port does not effect the start of

chemo.. Just in case they decided to give me one. I don't want to put

off my chemo. I start this Thursday. I am having the FEC combo of

drugs. I have gone a bought my wig and am getting my head shaved on

Monday of next week ( thats if I am brave enough to do it that day)
