Guest guest
Hi Lynn! As you know, I was just diagnosed with IC. I could not make sense of why I would have horrible burning days (I did not have discharge) and the mild days. Since I have been researching IC these days, I really think it is what I eat that causing my burning. Last week I was having a relatively pain, burn-free day until I had pickles..then burning!! I found pickles on the no-no list for IC patients. Also, I am reading a great book about IC and bladder problems and it says that the bladder is GREATLY affected by hormones. I also BURN during ovulation and the drs said it was unrelated...but it happened every month for 6 months. I also heard that bladders have a lot of hormone receptors and ARE greatly affected by variations. ALSO, I read that the bladder, urethra, and vulvar area are all made up of the same tissue, so if you have pain and inflammation in the bladder..it could affect the vulvar area also. That is my experience...I don't know how much relates to you..thought I would share! Take care!!! Alison CA
