Poor little guy! I hope he feels better soon and the

doctor can help him right away.

was constipated this week..I think it's from the

SuperNuThera..too much iron..so I am just going to

give him a 1/4 teaspoon each day instead of 1 1/2

teaspoons like I had been.

Have you tried dried fruit or raisens? My daughter has a love of

chewing issue, so once in a while she will chew on the dried

apricots - just for the excercise and raisens if one of the few

things that she never stopped eating. I hope he feels better. My

five year old NT used to do it to himself for 4 days at a time, while

wee were potty training.

Amy, I know how you feel. I had to put more bran and prune juice in the diet for

and . But it sure works. has a bowl of Bran flakes every morning

and he hates the prune juice but I make him drink 1 oz every day. I don't know

if you can get Kep to eat or drink things like that but it might help.

Kep is in so much pain that I can't stand it. This is the second time this

week that he has been so constipated that he screams when he tries to poop.

This is the second time that he has needed manual help (yes, that means I

use my fingers to pull it out). This, of course, is not a nice procedure

and so he screams more. His poop is so big and so hard that I can only

imagine the amount of pain he is in. My poor, poor Bubby. It always makes

me cry when one of my kids cries this much. I called Cam at work to make

sure I was doing everything right. I'm going to call the doc in the morning

and see what we can do to prevent it from getting this bad again. Oh, I

just hate seeing him in so much pain!

Amy -

You may want to talk to the doctor about trying mineral oil...

If his bm's are that big, they may be stretching his colon, which will

eventually make things worse.

Good Luck...

Miralax is great. We use it for Dillon. he has a lot of GI problems from

HSP. I don't know what we'd do without it.

I thinks it's mostly used for people having surgery. Call the doc and beg

for a prescription. Poor Kep.

Amy,

One of the moms at our support group Tuesday night was talking about

this same thing...she took her son to a pediatric gastroenterologist,

and the doctor gave him Miralax....she said it works great; he can't

hold it in, so doesn't get constipated. Tough part was you have to

get him cleared out before you can start it, so that wasn't fun...but

she is so relieved.

Your doctor may have already considered this, but I'm just tossing

out the idea...

Oh, Amy, poor sweet Kepler! That sounds so awful! I have never had that

problem before; Putter would continue to eat his customary healthy diet no

matter what I served him (well, I don't serve him because he doesn't eat

normal food) and I have been lucky, I guess, because I do not always do

healthy meals either! Way too much pizza...

I hope something works for him. Does cheese really cause it? I know he

loves cheese so that is sad for him. Why is it always the stuff we love?

Amy,

was going only once every 5 days from increasing his paxil and it

didn't change even taking 4 senecote a day! He is almost off the paxil and

is taking zoloft now.

I think a supository would be much easier on him than having to unimpact

him. I hope it's back to normal soon.
