Guest guest
Thanks for the update, ! It all sounds so interesting, and hopeful! That's great that you can now feel the dialator doing its stretching job. It's also great that your PT takes the time with you to show you anatomical stuff on the pelvis model. I can't believe how ignorant I am regarding anatomy! My PT started my internal work today, somewhat ahead of schedule. Even though my pelvis is still stubbornly refusing to *stay* aligned, I am having so much pain and trouble with my anal fissures, she decided to get started on the internal work. (My colo-rectal doctor said my tight pelvic muscles are cutting off the blood supply to my rectal area, and that's why the fissures aren't healing.) She was pushing on various muscles through my vagina and sure enough, the most painful muscle is one that affects the rectum. So I'm hopeful I'll get some relief from this darn butt pain soon!!!! To make things worse, I had a reaction to the hydrocortisone suppositories, and my entire rectal and lower vulvar area are bright red. My doc took me off the suppositories and I'm not supposed to use my new medication for a couple of days, to give my skin a break. I'm off to take a baking soda sitz bath right now. Are we having fun yet??? LOL Keep us up-to-date. It's so interesting seeing what kinds of therapy other women are getting. Suzy --- Bunny wrote: > Hey everyone, > > I had my PT appointment yesterday. Guest guest
It's also great that your PT takes the time with you to show you anatomical stuff on the pelvis model. I can't believe how ignorant I am regarding anatomy! I have to laugh. Before I had thease stupid problems I knew NOTHING about my anatomy down there. I cant belive how ignorant I was. Now going to the PT I am finding out that there is even MORE stuff I dont know. I guess my mom was right...the older you get the less you know. I am really sorry to hear about your reaction to the hydrocortosone supossitorys. The cream always worked better for me, but I suspect it was probably the hydrocorersone you reacted to. Hopefully the doctor will come up with another solution for you. Good luck with YOUR PT:) Bunny /| |\ . . Guest guest
I have to laugh, too, . I *never* used to look at myself " down there " and was pretty clueless as to exactly what *was* down there. Now, I get out that mirror (a magnifying mirror, at that!) and look around, hold things open, apply creams, etc., all in a day's work, you know what I mean? How far we have come! (You should have seen what I had to go through to get a good look at my rear end, however!! We're talking contorsions here. LOL) My doc is switching me to nitro ointment, which I *hope* will work! But I can't try it for a couple of days until my soreness is somewhat better. I am still pretty sore from the hydrocortisone. It's weird how I was OK for a few days and then BAM, I was burning and red, all at once. Oh, well. Take care. Guest guest
Good luck with the nitro cream Suzy, I hope that works better for you. I've had the fissures and I know how bad they can be. Bunny /| |\ . . Guest guest
I sit on the bath mat and hold a mirror between my feet while I apply estrace. The funniest was when I asked my husband to have a look and he went and got a flashlight. > Re: My PT Appointment on Tuesday > > I have to laugh, too, .
