Hi, Alison! I uncovered a very thorough article on

vulvodynia from the U. Michigan. Actually, it's part

of the background and discussion of an ongoing study

at U. Mich. You can link to either part of it from

the same page, but I'll give you both links here. I

thought of you, because there is a lot of discussion

of nerve input in both sections. There's tons of

medicalese :) but it's still pretty readable.

Occasionally, when you click on one of these links,

you'll get a message that the page doesn't exist or

something like that. If you get that message, just go

back and try again - they always eventually come up.

Alison..Suzy is right , there is a great description of the inervation of the

vulva..the anterior portion is inervated by branches from the iliohypogastric

and the genitofemeral nerve. That is a diagnostic

criteria!!!
