Guest guest
Just thinking out loud here, but I think that Vicks or a menthyolatum is used for the 'mode' of transmission, that it possibly opens or dilates the blood vessels to enhance whatever other ingredient would be mixed with it for a speedier absorption. Just my two cents and could be wrong, but they even use it to a small degree in some of these womens 'viagra' creams for that purpose I think to engorge or enhance the blood to that area. Guest guest
I guess it is the menthol that stops the pain. Yesterday I had oral surgery and today I was having a fair amount of pain while I was not at home making it impossible to take my tylenol. I popped a menthol cough drop and voila!! Pain gone.
