Guest guest
Well I guess my first one never made it so I will post this again. 1) We start out at $15.12 an hour and top out at $18.99 an hour. However we just voted on a new contact so the pay scale goes up 4% a year for the next three years. It takes 6 years to get to top pay. 2) 230pm to 1030pm gets .37 cents on the hour and 1030pm to 630am gets .45 cents on the hour. 3) Part time people make the same as us and takes just as long to get to top pay. 4) Part time people can not get overtime and only can work 38hrs per week. 5) Columbus Ohio is about 700,000 give or take. We dispatch only police calls take in all 911 calls placed in the city and about 90% of all cell phones in the county. We logged 1.4 million calls and about 1 million of them were dispatched runs for service. 6) When we are at full staff we have 118 dispatchers. We work between 19-24 per shift. 5 main channel dispatchers, 3 service channel dispatchers. 4 9-1-1 calltakers and the rest are non emergency call takers. 7) We have 3 civilian supervisors per shift. Have no clue what the pay scale is for them. If you need me to find out e-mail me and I will find out for you. I also would be interested in getting a copy of the final results when you have them .
