Run. Run as fast as you can in the other direction! This gal sounds

like she went to the same school that one of Chris's first psych's

went to. He told us to institutionalize at two because by

the time he was twelve he would be in Juvinile detention and there

was no way to help him. ASS! Run FAST, as fast as you can. Go

someplace else!! Do NOT go back!

She said that they assigned her to me to help me get a good system in place

for when she starts school. But she's so agressive that I don't even

want her near s school. I don't want to start off on the wrong foot.

Could everyone tell me how their kids were at three and if they had a one to

one aid and if they thought it was a good idea etc?

monique - I think she got her degree out of a cracker jack box. I mean

really even if I am in denial and won't be going to school with NT kids

who is she anyway? Maybe I need to be where I am. I'm barely hanging on

right now - when the TSS called me and said she had only one week experience

I was like what the *%* & . If the mobil therapist calls me and she doesn't

have any experience either (this basically is the whole reason I started this

cause I was hoping to get some help for my husband and I) I'm so FIRING these

people. Oh one more thing... this stupid tammy baker women was listening to

babble to herself and she goes " oh that's so cute how she does that "

and starts goo goo gaga to her. Any they are paying this women !

Ebony started in an early childhood classroom at three

years old. She was in a class with only three

children. There was a teacher and an aide. I sent

one of the therapists that worked with her here at

home with her for the first month to transition her.

But she wasn't needed for long. She probably would

have been fine without it...but I wasn't. I was

scared to death that my baby would be scared. Ya

know?

talked to her today and found that she has 6 WHOLE hours of experience...

Instead I get Tammy Baker in spandex. This women has

Hopefully? Gee, there are quite a few other possibilities, some of which

happen to be more hopeful than special ed (not to knock special ed as I am

profoundly grateful to it, but getting out of special ed is the ultimate

plan if possible, right?)

Then you don't need her! People who know nothing about autism are

extremely, let me repeat that, EXTREMELY, unlikely to be able help us very

much, unless they have the decency, common-sense and humility to listen to

our suggestions since we do know something about autism.

Well, if focus attention means one on one intervention, then, yeah, some

kind of one on one intervention can be effective, but you will certainly

need more hours of it, than you are likely to be able to give.
