Working Off Duty

That is the way it is around our Dept.<

Sounds like a pretty good deal...

But I hope your department has good rules and regs concerning

this.

If the officer is injured, is it a line-of-duty injury?

If the officer is involved in a litigation over alleged wrongdoing,

is the department liable?

When you, officially representing your department, assign this " off duty "

officer a detail..... you and your department become involved whether

he is " off duty " or not...
