Guest guest Posted April 10, 2003 Report Share Posted April 10, 2003 Hi Eunice I saw in an earlier email that you got off medication. I have been trying since June and I cant seem to do it. When do you know if you are ready to ask the dr to lower or give up medication. What kind of meds were you taking?? I was Dx the day after I had a total knee replacement. I take two 850 mm metformin a day one in the morning and one about 5 or 6 oclock. I take one Benicar for Blood Pressure that is now normal. I have lost over 80 pounds and my last Tests were BG 97 and Achl was 5.2 I dont have the other numbers handy right now but they were still slightly high.
