Guest guest
*Way* back when I was 18, I had a penicillin shot in my back side. A large reddened area developed, about a day or there abouts later, which at the time I thought was a *huge* hive-but the doctor said it wasn't, and that the penicillin should help it. It didn't itch, it was hot, burned and hurt like crazy. Over a period of about 3 days or so it went down. I recall having a couple of swollen lymph nodes in the groin that were painful too. The swelling stuck way out from the skin, and besides being red it was hot. It felt like all the medication from the shot stayed right there and didn't absorb-back then I thought it was strange. (I'd never had a penicillin shot so I chalked it up to that) I did this, the swelling ( the size of my hand - width and depth), heat, and redness and PAIN when I got my flu shot a few months ago - exactly! I've also since gotten the flu about twice, so either the shot didn't work or I don't know what. It too felt like everything stayed right there. I showed it to the school nurse and she said it was the worst reaction she had ever seen. Another EDS thing? {{{{{ Hugs }}}}}}} Copeland
