Guest guest
Dear and other interested parties, Well, I have re-learned a very valuable lesson from my school days and that is to always confirm the UNITS! Yesterday (happy belated V-day, everyone!) I got 70 MICRO-curies of I-131 for measuring the uptake. The technician said 1 micro-curie is 1/1000th of a millicurie. Today I got the actual scan dose of 2 millicuries of I-131. So, no worries about stunning! I do the scan on Monday. Thanks very much to everyone who posted to say how weird my schedule sounded because it made me ask questions I wouldn't have otherwise. I also have a question about the uptake. The last time I did this two years ago, they measured it at 6 percent (after a TT). Today they measured it as 0 percent. The technician even did it a second time just to make sure and it came out as 61 counts which she said they consider as 0 percent. I said that's good, right? She said yes. My question is, does the uptake result have any bearing on what my scan results might be?
