Guest guest
** Coming off Wellbutrin is not actually the problem. Any drug that alters serotonin in any way (Wellbutrin has a slight effect as does Topamax) alters glucose metabolism. -- I have a question has it been observed or documented anywhere that coming off Wellbutrin can result in weight gain? I am wondering the same thing about Topamax. I am off both drugs now, Topamax for about a year, Wellbutrin completely off for a week (unless tells me to get back on, I have a post on that in the Œpipeline¹ and this will get answered there.) I have lived a controlled carb lifestyle for over three years and it seems that this is currently harder to sustain. it also seems harder to lose weight (I have gained a total of 20 pounds since off the drugs, and I do want to stress that they never helped with weightloss while I was on them). Any tipps or experiences? Adding the drugs into the eating equation makes things difficult for me it¹s too easy to justify a binge by saying Œit¹s the drug¹. But I;d be curious to hear if others have observed changes in cravings as well and how to best navigate weight loss at this stage. I am reading a good book: Calm Energy by Thayer how people regulate mood with food and exercise Thanks Ariane
