Guest guest
Hello, I just had my surgery. The Dr. removed my right thyroid lobe and the isthmus. I was diagnoed with papillary carcinoma. The rest of my tissue has Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I'm in my early 30's. I've had the " lump " in my lovely little neck for at least 9 yrs. The first needle biop., fluid was drained but it kept coming back and eventualy it became solid as a result I had it removed. This is very scary to me and I'm still in a bit of shock. I never thought it would be cancer. No one in my family has had this. Is there anyone out there that can share with me their story. My Dr. said I need no other treatment that the cancer was removed and all I have to do is take synthroid and be checked each yr. My neck is still swollen from surgery and my voice still crackes when I try to talk loud. It hs only been a week post-op. Will I ever be the same? Do I need to worry or have other test done? Please e-mail me, I need to talk to someone that has been there. THANK YOU!!! kjfallis@...
