Pam's update(ivf mentioned)

AF arrived yesterday. I have my HSG scheduled for 5/16. I have a dr's

appt 5/26 to review the results. & are you also having

HSG's? I am really nervous. I had one last year it really hurt. I am

using a new dr now. He is having me take 800ml of ibroprofen. I am

hoping this makes the difference. I have been going back and forth in

my mind about IVF and lap surgery. I guess I will have to wait for

the results and go from there. I just want to get things going. We

already missed April because the dr wanted to wait until after the

HSG. Now we will miss May because my dr appt is at the end of the

month. I don't want to do anything without speaking with him.

We had a great time in Florida. I am so tan. I picked up my photos

last night. What beach do you got to? We went to Sarasota to visit

my dh's Uncle then went to the beach. We went to lunch by the rotary.

He lives near the Sarasota Airport. I hope the ibprofren makes the

difference to. When did you have an HSG before? WHat were your

results? I had one clear tube and one blocked last time. I had my ep

in my clear tube. I am thinking of skipping the lap and going right

to IVF since the pg chances are so much higher and ep lower. I just

want to get pg.

Kel,

We ate at St Armands circle and then went to lido beach. I wanted to

go to Siesta Key. But we didn't get to dh's uncles house until 11:30.

By the time we got done with lunch it was 3:30. It didn't leave alot

of time. After Lido beach we drove north and stopped at a state park.

That bridge going to Sarasota is so high. It was really cool. I had

my ep 3 months after my first HSG. I haven't had any testing since.

So this will be my first one since my ep. If both tubes are blocked

my dr wants to go right to IVF. If not he wants to talk from there.

He thinks I will have more blockage since my ep. I am wondering if

maybe my last HSG pushed enough out of the way so I could get pg. On

one hand I think maybe surgery would correct it. Then on the other I

feel like do I want to wait that long. By the time I have the lap

next month then we are probably talking July/August. If I go IVF I

could be pg by then. Then again I would really like to get pg

naturally. These things go back and forth in my head everyday.

I believe the bridge you are talking about is the Sunshine Skyway, (it is toll bridge?).It is high and fun, except my father-in-law hates bridges of any sort so when they fly into Tampa, we have to go the long way, around 275 to 75.

I know what you mean as far as the ideas going back and forth in your head. I am feeling that way w/the hsg, I'm anxious to be able to start ttc, but at the same time scared to death of the left tube now being non-functional too. My dh says we could probably afford IVF one time, but I told I don't think I'm up for that emotionally or financially. Maybe it is b/c I'm still thinking positive and hoping they can just open the tube a trickle again and we will be pg in 2-3 mos., but it is tiring thinking about the what ifs. I admire you for being so strong on the fact that IVF is probably the way you will be going (at least you sound more sure than I do).
