Guest guest
Thanks Lew, I guess that there is still hope for me yet. I had several other drugs before Sotalol, and started on 320mg a day, at 160mg twice a day. I thought that this was to much, so asked for a reduction, slowly until I would break through to permanent a-fib. I wanted my life back, without all the medication. I do not recommend this to anyone else, but for me, I feel very well, almost all the time. I can also attribute some of the not so good feelings to being 64, but still very active. Coumadin is not one of the drugs that I would reduce though, as I have had lots of surgery, and some new parts added too. I have my INR checked every 3 weeks, and it does not deviate more than a couple of tenths. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. Walt ----- Original Walt I was on Sotalol one tab of 80mg twice a day for about six/eight months as it became less and less effective.. When I " flunked " the criteria for Tykesen (sp?) in hospital tests, they moved me up on Sotalol to two tabs 80mg twice a day. That worked for about three days -- before my first afib --then on to more and more time in afib each day. Lew
