Your favorite gadget

Now that we are on the South Beach Diet and area cooking more and more of

our own meals instead of relying on pre-prepped foods, what is the kitchen

gadget you have come to treasure and use most often?

For me, it's my knife sharpener. Since I'm doing more of my own prep work,

cutting the vegetables and meats into sizes appropriate for the dishes, I

need sharp knives. I've never been able to keep my knives sharp until we got

a sharpener from a sporting goods store in the hunting section. Now it's so

easy to have a sharp knife to do all the slicing and dicing.
