Guest guest
i take about 7 weeks usually to get to where they will do the scans and rai. i get hit with odd stuff at the start of the 2nd week, extremely tired, aching tendons. a few weeks later i am usually hurting instead of aching, cannot sleep, have no appetite, crabby thick or a lazy tounge, dragging feet, feel puffy in hands and feet, then adjust for a bit then go in for the ria and the following morning i go Hypo BIG time. cannot wake up! then of course i am crying, i hate food, i have dry skin, puffy face....it is a wonder that my husband comes back to pick me up!!! this time the drugs are not pulling me back up like usual. any extra suggestions would be helpful! ruthi RE:hypo Hello everyone, I've got a question. Just out of curiosity, is it my imagination or can one become very clumsy while hypo. It seems like I'm constantly dropping things and making more messes then before. I'm at the point where if I have more then one or two things to do, I stand there for about 5 minutes in confusion as what to do next. lol Thanks for your replies, Calamity Jane (Laurel)(day 7 of you know what) _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
Guest guest
Hi " Calamity " Laurel: You poor thing, i know exactly how you are feeling, so i HAD to let you know. When i was hypo i managed to break all 4 of my everyday drinking glasses (had them 8 years without indicdent) in just 2 weeks. My short term memory was awful too, and a couple of times it felt like my brain just quit, i couldn't think at all so i just took a nap - :-) Hang in there, i don't know your personal situation but i had the luxury of being off work, so i could sleep when i needed too and kept the stress/tension at most minimum i could. I also MADE myself walk everyday - well until toward the end when i just couldn't MAKE myself anymore- For entertainment i used mindless TV and used humor as much as possible - which you are already doing so you're halfway there :-) Be good to yourself... Guest guest
Dear Alissa, You don't know me but I am new to the group.I read that you said the brain slows down with being hypo. I am having a hard time thinking. I can't remember anything either. I had a tt on June 25th 2002 but was told I am hypo also.I just thought you might know something I don't, terry Re: RE:hypo Hiya, Calamity! I'm not even fully hypo (still on Cytomel for another week) and I'm already noticing those things (I'm gonna be REALLY fun in a few weeks. I'm usually really good at multitasking, but I've noticed that my attention needs to be on one thing at a time right now. And did I mention the bottle of water I dropped all over the kitchen floor? Since the brain and body slow down, these things make perfect sense to me as hypo symptoms. Guest guest
Hi, Terry - Those are symptoms of being hypo (of course, they can be symptoms of other things, too) Since the thyroid controls the body's metabolism, if you don't have enough thyroid hormone, your metabolism is slowed down. Many people report trouble concentrating, remembering things, etc. Hope that helps. Guest guest
Hang in there, Terry! It might not be a bad thing to see your regular doctor in the meantime while you're trying to get another endo.
