Hello,

I am very thankful to have found this group!

Here's the rundown of meds I'm now on.

Lorazapem: .5 mg. 1 to 2 pills a day for a year. Started taking L.

about 5 years ago and the dose varied. Highest was 1.0 3 times daily

and that was a year and a half ago. My memory isn't sharp, (go figure),

so I am going to give you the best I can.

Trazadone: 50 mg. at night for sleep. Been on it for about a year.

Tramadol: 50 mg., 3 times a day for headaches from severe sinusitis.

Been on this for about a year.

Armour Thyroid: 3 years. I have my thyroid checked twice a year. I have

Hashimotos.

12 hour sudafed daily for congestion. I have been on and off this for 7

years. The off times have only been for a month, 3 times.

Lexapro: Here lies the one I need to address first I guess? I started

on this drug 2 years ago. This time around I was taking 10mg. daily

for about a year. I have been off Lexapro for about 5 weeks now. I

weaned off this within about 3 weeks. I would take 10 mg. every other

day for about 10 days and then 5 mg every other day for about 20 days I

guess. I now know this is real bad!!! Reinstate it? If so, is it best

to take it in the moring or night? The side effects I know of are

chills that has probably lasted for 3 weeks. I need to mention here

that I have been working with a therapist on dealing with severe trauma

from childhood so I don't know what other problems I'm having are from

that or the Lexapro. The past 5 days I have had severe anxiety and

feeling very sad and detached from the world. Periods of intense anger

which isn't anything new for me though.

I've been on SSRI's for 22 years. Started with Prozac.

Thanks for your help!

** Hi Tammy,

Thanks for posting what you're taking. Have you had time to read the

documents we send you when you join? Some of these will be immediately helpful

to you.

With the Lexapro -- I think you'll find that you are close to the point that

most people find they cannot reinstate the drug. There's a limit in time to do

that. If you're going to do it, you have to do it really soon. You will also

probably find that you'll need to reinstate to the original dose or almost to

the original dose.

Your goal would be to become physically and emotionally stable again. We can

talk about what to do after you've reached that point if you'd like. Because you

have been on these drugs so long and on so many, this is not a case I would

handle at first in a group setting via email. You're going to need a program

tailored to your particular needs. This will require that I get much more info

from you. We can talk more about this later, though.

You would benefit from taking some nutritional supplements and making sure you

eat well. Info on this was sent when you joined. If you can't find it, look in

our FILES on the group site for supplement and diet recommendations.

Regards,
