Guest guest
Pam, My doctor feels that the likelihood of a laproscopy being able to fix the damage and go on to have a baby naturally is 10%. He however was able to give me a rate of 45%-50% with IVF. I had a HSG 2 weeks ago that showed significant blockage. (95% and 100%) I know that we could have the surgery but the outcome would not me as good. My dr. stated that I didn't need anymore testing. He feels that he has all the info he needs. He did not sway me one way of another. You will have to do what is right for you. Have you had a HSG? Mine was so painful. Most people have no problems. Evaluate all the options and do what you feel that you need to do. hope that helps... Amy PS i do not look forward to the shots and all the other things that go along with IVF
Guest guest
Amy H, Thanks for the info. I am starting to think the same thing. Maybe I shouldn't bother with the surgery. My dr also told me that I had a 50% chance with IVF. I need to do what it takes to get pg. I don't want to wait any longer. I will be 33 in September. Hopefully I will be having the HSG in 2 weeks. Then we can decide from there. Did they tell you what the procedure is for getting started? How long do you have to wait to get started? Thanks, Pam
