Guest guest
I think you should see if you get cravings. If you do, then a day or two of phase one should put you back in the swing again. If you don't, then you will probably be okay to stick with phase II. Carol help! what do I do? Okay, I thought that I could go to a pie party and behave. Everybody laughed at me (including my dh) and said I’d cheat and they were right. I even took a whole wheat crust quiche and a couple of other healthy pies. I was only planning on eating the quiche (a small piece). I’m in my 2nd week of phase 2. I’ve lost 8-10 lbs so far. Anyway, I ate a bunch of pie today (basically tasted everybody’s pies (perhaps 10 pies)). Some healthy some not. What should I do now? Go back on Phase I to purge my system or continue with Phase 2. I’m also a nursing mother and I know that I should have been on phase 2 all along but I did my 2 weeks on Phase 1 to lose faster. Okay, I hope this wasn’t confusing. Help, I feel awful that I screwed up. Oh and by the way, it was amazing to feel that sugar in my clean system. Felt terrible. It was like having caffeine when you haven’t had it for awhile. I was shaky and felt like my blood was speeding through my veins faster than usual. Also, my eyes were doing something funny like twitching. Yuck! Help needed. Guest guest
Angie, Don't feel bad, slipups happen to everybody. The important thing is, put it behind you and move on. Get right back on the plan tomorrow! As I understand it nursing mothers start with Phase II and though I understand you wanting to go on Phase I to lose faster, it seems like it would be healthier for you to go to Phase II. Guest guest
Don't keep beating yourself up. Everyone cheats, (except my DH,the saint:)) The best diet advice I ever got was, that was yesterday, this is today, just keep following the diet plan. You'll be fine, stay on phase 2, keep losing and enjoy it From: Boicheff Sent: Wednesday, September 08, 2004 7:36 PMTo: South-Beach-Diet-Getting-It-Right Subject: help! what do I do? Guest guest
I made a bad decision last weekend too and had a sugar rush. It totally re assured me that this diet was the right choice for me. I felt so terrible, I was shaking and felt light headed I had to get dh to come in a finish bathing the kids. I too nursed through PH1, but I was nursing a toddler. I would say if you are still having cravings to go back to Ph1 to cleanse your system, but if not I wouldn't bother personally. I tried Ph1 again but only lasted 3 days and switched back over to where I left off on Ph2. As long as there are no cravings I would stay the course on PH2
