Guest guest
Hi all. I have been reading the group for about a month and I have just finished my two weeks on Phase 1. I went to town today to get weighed on the big " proper " scale at the pahrmacy as I don't believe in bathroom scales! Too much temptation to weigh daily and too unreliable I find! Anyway - good news - 9 pounds down. I am delighted! I do still have around 150 to lose though!! I will be interested to see how I do longer term on this diet. Nearly every other diet I have tried has been carbohydrate based. Generally I stall at three months and then start putting weight back on even though I stick to the diet so I am hoping for great things here!! :-) I do feel different on this one and I recognise in the mists of early memories that this is much closer to how we used to eat when I still lived at home. We always had a cooked breakfast before going out to school and work. I was a day pupil at a boarding school and we had cooked meals at lunch time and of course we had a " proper " dinner when we all got home. And then I left home at about 20 and started putting on weight. Potatoes and bread are my enemy! Who would have thought it!
