Sue,

I had my ep on 3/31/00 and lost my right tube to a rupture. My doctor told

us to wait at least 3 weeks before bd and 3 or 4 months until we ttc again.

Personally, I feel that I have had 2 normal cycles now and I am ready. I

have asked questions on here and have tried to research -- but I find that

there are many different answers. I feel that you need to listen to your

body.

I may not be the best person to answer right now though. I had always said

I would be pregnant by my 30th birthday -- which is July 7th. So I have

been EXTREMELY emotional lately and have once again taking to crying many

times a day. My dh and I have decided to ttc again -- asap.

,

Im sorry for your loss, I have 2 sons age 5 and 4, I had the first child at

age 28. When I had my ep on Easter, I was trying to conceive my 3rd child, I

grew up in a family of 3 girls and we get along very well, im the middle

child. I have done alot of thinking about having a 3rd child and read the

book how to choose the sex of your baby, I watched my cycle for an entire

year, got to know my body quite well and then ttc, it took 2 months, after

thinking about having a 3rd child for so long. It was a relief when I was pg

and then the ep has set us back. I am a very fortunate person to have 2

healthy babies on earth. I do feel for you because you have not had a child

yet, I will pray for you, just keep a poss attitude however hard it is. by

the way I was trying for a girl baby, but I would have been happy with any

sex baby, the book how to choose the sex of your baby is very good book to

help you understand your cycle and when you ov. your in my thoughts

Sue,

I have also read that book. It is very interesting. My dh and I were trying

for a girl, too, when we started this process 2 years ago and thought things

were easy. We actually wanted 2 boys and a girl, but thought we'd try for

the girl this time so the next would have less pressure or we'd be better at

it! (We have one boy who will be 3 on Wed.) We never conceived using the

girl method. I don't know if it was my bad tube or if my dh boys don't live

that long! :)! Anyway, I thought you might find it interesting that others

have tried it. (We tried that method for 6 months and then decided we'd

rather be pg than choose the sex, I'm sure you understand. Also I'm getting

kind of used to being the only lady of the house! :)! )

Joleen, I would probably be better with another boy, I have my dh, 2 sons

and 2 male dogs and 2 male hamsters, so I am also very alone in this house of

boys. My dh and I made a conscious effort at the girl method for 2 months

and I think I charted rather well, however the pg ended in ep. So we will

never know if I was right on that one, either way I was fortunate just

conceiving. The girl version in that book is rather difficult especially if

you don't have much time to bc I THINK THATS THE ABBR FOR IT, we did the best

we could with trying to exhaust the sperm count, It was kind of fun watching

my cycle and figuring out everything. I managed to not get pg for a year

just following the advice of the book, has anyone else on the group read the

book how to choose the sex of your child, its not just about that, it really

does tell alot about your body and cycling. Thanks for your input joleen.

child book and followed it to the letter!!! (I now have 3 boys) So much

for theory.....:) We are trusting in God to make the right choice for us

now.

Hi Sue,

I have read the book too. Dh and I at this point would be so excited

with a boy or a girl that we have decide to not use the methods.

However, I would recommend to anyone to read the book. It has a lot

of info on ovulation etc. Once again, I have to say, it is such a

miracle how one gets pregnant with all that has to happen. You made

me laugh regarding your household of males. My dad told me at my

wedding my only job was to have a boy. (I have a sister and she has

two girls) Talk about pressure! I know God will make the right choice

for us and my dad will love his grandchild regarless! Take care-

It only took me a couple of years to get used to 3 boys, but now at
