Guest guest
Ellen - A suggested itinerary. Take a northern route out and stop in the Grand Tetons, Yellow Stone and go on to Washington or Oregon and see the Cascades. Then drive down the coast thru the redwoods and Yosemite. Return thru Nevada, Arizona etc. This order is preferable, because the weather can begin to act up in those northern states in September. It may also be a bit cooler on the southern route in September. Have fun! Ed
Guest guest
Ellen, Try to see Sedona in Arizona, and if possible, see Bryce Canyon and Zion Park, both national parks in Utah. They are spectacular. You probably know the temps in Las Vegas have been in the 100's for most of the last few weeks! Branson is great and hope you see a couple of shows there. The traffic in that small town is not good -- so take it easy, you have to contend with all the tour buses carrying the mature adults! Have fun! Irene > My first major stop will be Branson, Missouri (Music Capital) - with many others that will include Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Las Vegas. I also want to stop at The Enchantment in Arizona. I understand its so very beautiful, it takes your breath away. > I'm leaving the end of this week - if any of our members know of any fantastic place to visit, would you let me know/ I appreciate it. > > Be good everyone, and most of all stay well! > > California ~~~~~here I come! > > Ellen > (NSR on Dofetilide) > > > > Web Page - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AFIBsupport > FAQ - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AFIBsupport/files/Administrative/faq.htm > For more information: http://www.dialsolutions.com/af > Unsubscribe: AFIBsupport-unsubscribe > List owner: AFIBsupport-owner > For help on how to use the group, including how to drive it via email, > send a blank email to AFIBsupport-help > > Nothing in this message should be considered as medical advice, or should be acted upon without consultation with one's physician. > >
Guest guest
Hey Ellen - If you are traveling across the southwest on I-10 and stop to see Tink in Silver City, you'll find me just a few miles down the road in El Paso. you can't miss it because there's not much between the two towns. Give me a call (I'm in the book) and I'll take you out for a really authentic Mexican lunch or dinner. Have a great trip. (BTW, I lived in Wyoming for 20 years, another of your vacation destinations.) Sharon Bollinger in El Paso

Guest guest
Ellen, What a super trip you have planned. If you get to NM in the Silver City area do fone and stop and see me. If this might be a possibley email me tink@... and I will give you my fone # and directions . Would love meeting you in person. Have a fun-der-ful and safe trip. God be your co-driver, better yet, you be God's co-driver. hugs and prayers, Tink I had my tires rotated, new brakes, oil change, etc. - and I am ready to go. I will be getting in my car and heading cross-country. I want to see as much as the US as I possibly can. My first major stop will be Branson, Missouri (Music Capital) - with many others that will include Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Las Vegas. I also want to stop at The Enchantment in Arizona. I understand its so very beautiful, it takes your breath away. I had my Pacemaker check this morning; I had my PT yesterday - and all my meds are packed for an extended trip. Keeping the meds at room temperature will be tricky. Unless I keep the Cooler up to snuff with ice, etc, I won't be able to leave them in a hot car. My next Doctor's appointment will be in mid September - so I'm covered there. This will be a biggee - I have no reason to suspect that Afib will rear its ugly head. With Dofetilide, I have been OK - thank you Lord! I'm leaving the end of this week - if any of our members know of any fantastic place to visit, would you let me know/ I appreciate it. Be good everyone, and most of all stay well! California ~~~~~here I come! Ellen (NSR on Dofetilide)
Guest guest
> >Ellen: It is good that you had everything checked before leaving for a well deserved change. I hope you get to see all the places in your plan and wish list! While you are at it, pack lots of frozen plastic bottles with the water you usually drink in that cooler and don't forget to also take lots of fruit, calcium and magnesium tabs with you. Water, fruit, calcium and magnesium will help balance your electrolytes and help to keep you strong during the trip. The frozen bottles of water(I use discarded plastic milk containers because they are square and pack tight well) will keep your cooler cool for up to 3 days and will help avoid dehydration as well as not having to get used to different water as you travel on those first few days. As you may already know travel in a car is very dehydrating and that is one of the things we need to keep in mind and avoid. Regards and have fun, Isabelle snip........................I hope to see as much as the US as I possibly can. My first major stop will take your breath away. > >
Guest guest
Ellen, you say the Dofetilide has stopped your afib. I didn't know before you had a pacemaker. Doesn't the pacemaker stop it by itself? Edgar Tink wrote: > > Ellen, > What a super trip you have planned. If you get to NM in the Silver > City area do fone and stop and see me. Guest guest
I'm sure it wont happen again but is it worth leaving some of your meds with a family member or close freind so they can FedEx them to you if the ones you take are 'mislaid'? I know you are worried about the van temperatures when they transport them but it's only there for a second backup. I'm sure you wont need it! Have a great trip Ellen. -- D
