Guest guest
Hi , Sorry to hear about your back. Mine actually acts up from time to time also. Lots of Advil and rest usually helps within a few days. Once you hurt your back, it's easy to do again, so you have to be careful. About your knuckles--I don't that problem but I have a similar problem with my toes. My toes involuntarily point straight up at night. When I wake up it feels like my muscles around my ankles and lower calf are trying to twist inside out. It is very painful and I have to get out of bed and walk around to relieve the pain. Sometimes it takes a while and even starts up again once I go back to bed. It sounds like the same kind of thing going on with your hands. I get cramps in my fingers, but not painful ones like in my toes. I wonder what this means? I have an appointment at the ALS multidisciplinary clinic in a couple of weeks. I'll try to find out what's going on there. Hope you are doing well otherwise. Sounds like you and Don have been doing a lot of good traveling. Keep it up, but remember not to over do it. Take care. Sue N. TWITCHING AND THEN SOME Along with twitching fingers and thumbs, I have recently had very excruciating pain in the knuckles of my hand. I feel like the joints are trying to turn inside out (for lack of a better term) and I have to push them back to where they are supposed to be. Anyone else experience this? I even was awakened last night with the pain. My newest experience that I can very well do with out! We just returned from Arizona where we went to see baseball Spring Training. While we were there, we had the pleasure to meet Bette and Bill Jibbe, Bonnie and Phil Guzelf and Lynn and Pete Lamas; we met for lunch. Craig and I had met Bette and Bill a few months ago when they were visiting in our area, but it was our first meeting Bonnie and Lynn. It was, as usual, good comparing notes. I probably overdid while in Arizona and I screwed up my back and at times could barely walk. I don't think I ever remember having pain that bad. It's better but still real tender and it has now been 4 days. I'm thinking a visit to the chiropractor may be in order. The absolute worse thing was not being able to get up OR down in the bathroom (man, I have a great husband--so much for privacy). Bette and Lynn gave me a couple of their meds so I could make it back to California. Anyway, let me know if any of you have the joints in your hands trying to turn somersaults.
